10 Questions as we Head Into Season 2

One week from tonight season 2 of Shameless premieres on Showtime, we left off last season in the dead of winter with questions to be answered. This season we'll pick up in the summer where we hope to get answers to these 10 questions:

1) How's Sheila Progressing?
We last saw Sheila bundled up and in the process of taking a few more steps outside her front door everyday. In last season's finale Sheila was up to 13 steps, so while she had some work to do, we're hoping she hasn't suffered a set back over the Spring. As hilarious as Sheila was in her agoraphobic state last season, she could provide even more laughs if she ever makes it to say, the Alibi Room. 

2) What's the Status of Stiona (Steve and Fiona)?

Steve was at O'Hare International taking off for Costa Rica via Miami, assuming he's not still waiting on a runway somewhere (which at O'hare is certainly possible), has Fiona heard from him since she left him riding solo? Maybe he's back in Chicago and never left at all or maybe he decided to go pursue that medical degree (we kind of doubt that last one though!)

3) Has Fiona Found Happiness and Stability Working with Hal and Jasmine?

The last image of season one was Fiona sitting down inside Hal's accounting firm to begin what we she was banking on (no pun intended) to be a steady job, that could bring in a steady income. Of course that was late winter, now that tax season over where does Fiona stand, is it back to odd jobs? Also, where does the interesting relationship between Jasmine and Fiona stand?

4) Where Does Tony the Cop fit in the Picture?
If Steve is out of the picture, at least for a while - is Tony the Cop still trying to make awkward conversation with Fiona, showing up at odd times just to say 'hey.' Remember, Tony is also now the Gallagher's next door neighbor - I'm curious to see how that dynamic plays out. 

5) What Direction will we see Lip and Ian go this Season?
Back at Comic-Con in July John Wells said this is going to be a pivotal season for Ian and Lip as they both are at a cross-roads. Wells described the situation by saying Lip, the one who could easily get out of the South Side isn't sure he wants to and he's content with his life there. Ian, on the hand, is the brother who wants to escape the area, but he doesn't have the brains Lip has and may not have the tools to get out. This is probably the storyline I'm most curious to see play out in season 2.

6) What are the Chances we Hear from Monica this Year?
While I personally would prefer never to see Monica again, she's the villian and she'll show up - most likely she won't stay, her track record there isn't so hot. Wells said at Comic-Con that Chloe Webb has expressed an interest in reprising the role this season, so most likely it's happening. Let's just hope we've seen the last of "Bob."

7) Ian has Come Out to Lip and Fiona, where's he go from there?
First off, I hope we uncover how Fiona knew Ian was gay, is there more of a story there? As far as Ian's next step, does he try explaining it to his younger siblings? Does Frank somehow find out, if that were to happen I'd be interested to see the reaction there.

8) Is Karen Back to her Normal Self After Last Year's Meltdown? Where Do Things Stand with Lip?
The realization from Lip in last season's finale that he thought he was actually falling in love with Karen was one of the great moments of episode 12. Despite the world Lip lives in, there are times when it seems like he has it all figured out, just look at how many schemes he devised in the show's first season. What that moment gave us was vulnerability we hadn't really seen from Lip until that point. I'm curious to see where their relationship goes, word is Lip may have some competition... 

9) When Steve does Ultimately Return, will he tell Fiona About his Life? Have we Seen the Last of his Family?
Justin Chatwin, the actor who plays Steve admits his character does return at some point this season exactly when and under what circumstances we do not know. One thought I have had - is Tony not the only reason Steve fled? Did maybe he get wind of the fact that Debbie had spilled the beans to his mom and he just couldn't face the music so he ran? 

10) Has Frank Quit Drinking and Found a Job?
Ha!

Who knows, but I for one, can not wait to find out! We've got 12 weeks of all new episodes on the way and I am pumped!!
